Zoo Halloween & face painting

This afternoon we headed to the Ft Wayne zoo for their annual Wild Zoo Halloween event. We were hoping to go during the week when it's less busy but the weather is suppose to turn very cold by then and with the temperatures around 70 today we took advantage of it! This is the first time we have ever gone to a zoo for this type of event so I wasn't sure what to expect. It sure was alot of fun and very well organized! There are also a couple of pictures from the girls face painting that they got yesterday at the local Christian bookstore that was having a kidz day event.

Addisyn with her flower vine

Keira went for the full face butterfly! I was a little surprised because this was the first time she had ever gotten her face painted since she isn't known for sitting still long enough! =)

The girls at the zoo event. Keira is a butterfly princess this year and Addisyn is some sort of Princess (she'll tell you Belle if you ask her)

The zoo had several areas set up around where you received your candy

There were all kinds of beautifully painted pumpkins around...here we have a giraffe, lion, and zebra

They also had cute little animals figures made out of gourds...here are a couple of giraffes

The girls entering the mystery maze

The girls with Broomhilda the witch...it took a little convincing that she was a GOOD witch =)

More fun decorations around the zoo

Fun mascots to meet

Jim and the girls

Ring the bell for a silly halloween joke

The girls and I on the haunted train ride

Exploring the Mummy's kitchen

At the end they got to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch
