Fall festivities

We kept busy the last few evenings with different Halloween/Fall activities...below are the pictures from everything we did.

We just have a few small trees on our property so we didn't have too many leaves to deal with this year. The girls did have fun jumping in a pile of leaves from our tree in the front yard.

Silly little girls

Addisyn wanted to be a witch this year. We got her this costume last year but she only wore it for her school party and it still fit so it saved us from buying a new costume.

Keira was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. We had a Bee and Ladybug costume but in the weeks prior to Halloween we had her try them on and she cried the whole time because they were pretty tight to get over her head. So what better costume then getting to wear a dress and pretty red shoes....Keira's favorites!! =)

Thursday night we first headed to Great Grandma's house for trick or treating. Here the girls are waiting paitently for Great Grandma to answer the door.

We then headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Choo Choo's house since they would be gone for the weekend visiting friends.

(For those of you who may not know the story...Addisyn started calling my parents Choo Choo because they live right next to train tracks, and she calls Jim's parents Wha Wha because they have 2 dogs and before she could say dog she called them wha wha's.)

Friday night we went to Grace College for their Annual Fun Fest. They have games for the kids to play and then they get candy. I helped with this event a couple of years while I was at Grace and grew up as a kid going to this event so it was neat to be able to finally take my kids. Here Jim and the girls are heading to Fun Fest.

Saturday we headed over to Jim's parents to do some trick or treating. Here the girls are getting their candy from Grandpa and Grandma Wha Wha

Then we went to our old church where they had a Trunk or Treat event

After filling their bags full of candy we headed back to Jim's parents for a bonfire

And what bonfire is complete without a big pile of leaves to play in. Here Jim and his Mom are throwing the girls into the leaves.
