This past weekend we headed up to Michigan to watch Jim's Dad race. We normally make it to at least 2 or 3 of his races during the summer but he didn't race as much this summer and the times he did we had something else going on. The temperature was in the mid to upper 60's so much cooler than normal hot racing weather but a nice change! After watching the racing on Saturday we spent the night in a hotel and on Sunday met up with a guy name Junior who I met during college. I worked for 3 summers at Gull Lake Ministries in Michigan and met some wonderful people who are still good friends of mine. Junior and his wife Peg, who has since passed away, were like the Grandparents to all of us college age kids. He now calls me about once or twice a year to check in...this was the first time he had gotten to meet Jim and the girls!
