Daley updates: Wisconsin Dells

We just got home from our summer vacation to the Wisconsin Dells. We had a really fun time! This is the first time we have been away from home this long since we've had kids and luckily they did real well! As always though we were all glad to be back in our own beds last night!! =)

We stayed in a condo called Glacier Canyon Lodge at the Wilderness Lodge Resort. We had a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath condo with a living room, full kitchen and dining table! It was great to all have our own rooms to spread out and a kitchen to make some of our meals!

Not long after getting there Keira found this corner cabinet in the kitchen that she enjoyed crawling into to hide!

They had a HUGE playland with tunnels and slides on about 3 levels. Jim and I had to go in with the girls or we would have lost them!

There were 4 indoor and 4 outdoor waterparks at our resort so we had a TON of stuff to keep us busy. Here the girls and I are enjoying the kids area at one of them

This waterpark was called the Wild West and was by far the girls favorite but boy did you get wet on this playland!! You can see Jim and Keira coming down the steps in this picture!

We couldn't get Addisyn off this slide, she went on it over and over again!

My girls have been deathly afraid of the big buckets in the playland areas that dump water every couple of minutes!! At the beginning of the trip they wouldn't go anywhere near the playland if it had a bucket which was a shame. Halfway through the trip Addisyn made a friend, on the left in this picture, and before we knew it she had Addisyn running over to stand under the bucket as it dumped! Keira even got in on the fun a couple of times!

We took a tour on the original ducks....very fun!! Here are Jim and Addisyn as we went through the water.

Here's a picture of another one of the ducks in the water. If you don't know what these are they have huge wheels that also go on land.

We have a zoo membership this summer at a local zoo back home and it gets us into about 150 other zoos around the country at a discounted price. So we decided to check out the Milwaukee county zoo since we weren't too far away. I was happy to find out we got in for free with our membership! The zoo had all the BIG animals including Hippos, Elephants, Rhinos, Bears, Camels, and much, much more! Very cool zoo!! Here the girls and I are enjoying the carousel.

They also had a special dinosaur exhibit for the summer...I think this is the exhibit we saw last summer at the Chicago zoo! You can tell in the picture that Keira wasn't too impressed with the dinosaurs!! =)
